Welcome to my website!
I am a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Calgary, Department of Computer Science. I earned Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science at the University of Calgary in 2020 and 2017, respectively. I also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Power and Electrical Engineering at Riga Technical University in 2009. I am interested in the field of Data Privacy and Security. My current research focuses on devising ways of providing privacy in smart environments.
In addition to my academic work, I serve as a Security Architect with ENFOCOM Cyber, a Calgary-based cybersecurity firm offering specialized services in security consulting, threat assessment, digital forensics, managed detection & response, and cybersecurity training. At ENFOCOM Cyber, part of my portfolio involves leveraging Cyber Range infrastructure, a highly automated, virtual environment engineered to replicate realistic network infrastructures, simulate threat scenarios, and support hands-on training, red/blue team exercises, and experimental feasibility studies of defense strategies. I am also contributing to the CATE (Canadian Cyber Assessment, Training and Experimentation) Center, a joint initiative between ENFOCOM, the University of Calgary, and Raytheon Canada, a fully integrated facility for cyber assessment, training, and experimentation.
